These are great bumpers for baby-proofing (or klutzy mommy-proofing).
There weren't any instructions in the package, but it's pretty self explanatory. I decided to protect the edges of one side table in my living room, which only have one exposed corner. I had to line the corner and the top and bottom edges of both sides of the long strip. It was easy to measure, cut and apply the double-sided tape.
I was able to cut and install along the exposed edges of my side table in about 10 minutes. It was very easy, I just had to cut the tape and peel the top layer and apply it to the table surface. The foam is really dense and will protect against bumps and scrapes.
The guards are a nice espresso brown that matches my table. It's textured looking and gives the table a nice high-end look. I used about 3/4 of the entire kit to do just 1/2 of the top surface of my table and one exposed leg. The corner guards were not pre-taped.
